| Muddy Buddies/Puppy Chow |
[Dec. 18th, 2009|12:35 pm] |

Muddy Buddies, Puppy Chow...whatever you choose call it, it's a classic American treat that I'm sure each and every one of you enjoyed as both a kid and as an adult. Nobody can resist simple Chex cereal coated in milk chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar. These delightful little treats melt in your mouth and are almost addictive. These are really easy to make, too, and you can even use the microwave if you don't want to melt the chocolate over the stove (although I prefer to use the stove because it's easier to control the heat and there's less of a chance that the chocolate will burn). I packaged these individually to bring to work, and everyone seemed excited about them because, like I said, there's a bit of nostalgia that goes along with Muddy Buddies! I promise that if you bring these to your next party or event, they'll be gone before you know it. Recipe after the cut or on my blog at The Crepes of Wrath.

| Apple Streusel Bars |
[Dec. 18th, 2009|12:29 pm] |

Who doesn't love baked goods that feature apples? I know I do, and it's definitely Kramer's favorite kind of treat next to something made with peanut butter. The only problem is that I'm lazy and I hate having to make crusts and doughs and that kind of thing that you have to roll out or let rise. So sue me! I'm busy. That's why I love these apple streusel bars. You get all of the delicious, caramely apple-pie flavor without all the work. I added some toffee bits in with the apple mixture, too, and they got all melty and delicious. These will make you think of happy holiday memories, and the time that it takes to make these is nothing compared to a pie or a turnover or something like that. The streusel crumb topping really brings it all together, and the icing drizzled on top takes it all home for me. Go ahead and make this for your next holiday gathering, or just the next time you want something sweet. It's really easy and I bet you already have everything you need in the cupboard. Recipe after the cut or on my blog at The Crepes of Wrath.

| The Full Irish (Toronto) |
[Dec. 18th, 2009|09:30 am] |
The Full Irish: banger, rasher, black pudding, beans, mushrooms, grilled tomato, potato farl, fried egg.
Everything was really good except for the blood sausage, which I felt was overdone. I would still get this again. The beans, the other sausage, om nom nom. Just a really good breakfast plate. I hear the beans aren't traditional, but I love them all the same.
